The lake is well stocked for coarse fishing, with carp, roach and bream, (a rod licence is required, barbless hooks must be used at all times, and fishing rules respected). The all weather tennis court can be enjoyed April – October, for this sheltered corner of south east Cornwall boasts mild autumns and a spring that arrives joyously early. There are several pubs locally, and a leisurely stroll to the foot of the drive and across the road leads to a licensed bar 'The Village Inn' which offers an extensive menu including children's meals, barbecues and live entertainment regularly during the high season.
